Benicia, Calif. – CytoSport, Inc., one of the largest sports nutrition companies in the United States and parent company to the MUSCLE MILK® brand, launched the MUSCLE MILK® Beat30 Challenge today featuring a nationwide three-point contest in four major markets around the country.
The top two winners from each market will earn a trip to the Bay Area for an exclusive basketball shooting experience with MUSCLE MILK® brand athlete Stephen Curry, who is touted as one of the best shooting guards in the league.
“We strive to create unique experiences to help tell our product story and how we are integrated into Stephen’s on and off the court training,” said Brandon Hagy, sports marketing manager, athletes for CytoSport, Inc. “His dedication to the game and commitment to constant improvement prove that he is a student of the game, constantly trying to learn and share his leadership. This is a great opportunity for the next generation of basketball fans to learn from one of the best athletes in the game.”
Regional qualifying events will take place in New York City, Los Angeles, the Bay Area and Chicago. Each participant will have one minute on the clock to shoot 25 basketballs around the arc, five of which are money balls. Each made basket is worth one point, money balls score two. The two participants with the highest score from each qualifier will earn a trip to the Bay Area to compete against each other in the final three-point shoot-out.
“I’m excited to watch the best three-point shooters show off their skills behind the arc,” Curry said. “These athletes will have the chance to take their three-point game to the next level and experience the pressure, adrenaline and feeling of the perfect shot with seconds on the clock. MUSCLE MILK® products play a big role in my workout recovery, and I’m proud to be a part of their team and help create such a unique experience that highlights what our relationship is all about.”
Curry will host the final competition in his team’s hometown of Oakland where the winner will receive a personal shooting clinic with the All-Star. All qualifying events and the finals are open to the public.
