Mauricio Mendez Signs With Muscle Milk®


(Boulder, CO) –  The partnership with CytoSport, Inc., the parent company of the Muscle Milk® protein recovery drinks, includes all of the brands under the company’s umbrella.  Mendez will have access to Muscle Milk®, CytoMax® and CytoSport products to help him with his pre, during and post training and racing nutritional needs.

Sharing the Muscle Milk® brand’s commitment to having the best race day possible, the twenty-year-old Mendez is catching the attention of the global endurance sports community with stand-out performances in just two years of professional off-road and road racing. Placing fourth at this year’s XTERRA World Championship, Mendez battled the insanely rough course for a final race time of 2:40:54 – only 14 seconds short of third place after having the race’s fastest run time. In his pro debut at the 2014 XTERRA World Championship, Mendez was first out of the water and moved up three places in the final 800 meters of the run to take 5th. For this season, Mendez selected key competitions to accelerate his race experiences: taking third place at the XTERRA Mexico Championship and second place at XTERRA Philippines.  Mendez made the decision to race Ironman 70.3 and Challenge Half events this year and has proved he is also a force on the road side of the sport finishing 3rd at IM Monterrey 70.3 and 2nd at Challenge San Gil.
