Baseball has always been part of the Seager household. Corey Seager is the youngest of three brothers, all who can claim the title of professional baseball player on their resumes. As one of the top prospects coming out of high school in North Carolina, Seager was drafted in the No. 18 spot of the first round of the 2012 draft. He was called up to the big leagues in 2015, and has been making history on the field ever since.
He set franchise records for the most home runs hit by a shortstop in one season and for the most consecutive major league starts reaching base—AS A ROOKIE. He and brother, Kyle, are the first pair of brothers in big league history to each hit 25 or more home runs in a single season. The list of accolades goes on. Rookie of the Year. All-Star.
Seager can crush the ball and has already been dubbed a power hitter. His defense as a shortstop is stellar too. His game is just starting. His innate drive, intense focus and determined self-motivation help him become STRONGER EVERYDAY™.
